He's young Lucio La Chimia, who, thanks to an improvised stage and a few tools at his disposal, is working on the creation of a magic show for his friends living in the building.

We're in the seventies in Bellinzona, the capital of the Canton of Ticino, located in the south of Switzerland by the border with Italy, and Lucio, son of Italian immigrants, earns his first pocket money that way, that is sensing the need for entertainment from his peers and offering them an afternoon of fun.
